چکیده
The case of a 33-year-old male suffering from left sinus Valsalva aneurysm into anterior right ventricle and severe aortic valve regurgitation is presented. Diagnosis of this association was achieved before surgery by cardiac catheterization and Echocardiography. The patient was submitted to surgical repair by closing the orifice of the aneurysm using a bovine pericardium patch. The aortic valve regurgitation was repaired using Trusler’s procedure. Descriptors: Aneurysm. Sinus valsalva. Aortic regurgitation, surgery.

Bicuspid Aortic Valve: An Unusual Cause of Aneurysm of Left Coronary Sinus of Valsalva
Bicuspid aortic valve is traditionally considered an innocuous congenital anomaly. Due to a better and widespread availability of non-invasive imaging techniques, it has come to the fore that 30% of these cases develop complications, viz., valve abnormality (aortic regurgitation and stenosis), and aneurysm of aortic root and ascending aorta. Sinus of Valsalva aneurysm is an uncommon complicatio...

Sinus of valsalva aneurysm, is a rare congenital defect and the diagnosis is usually made after it ruptures. The anomaly often involves the right coronary sinus and is less frequent in the noncoronary sinus. The rupture of the left sinus of valsalva into the pulmonary artery is extremely rare. So far, few cases with ruptured left sinus of valsalva have been reported. We are reporting a ruptur...
متن کاملCASE REPORT Echocardiographic Diagnosis of Ruptured Aneurysm of Sinus of Valsalva Report of Two Cases
Echocardiographic features of two cases of ruptured congenital aneurysm of Valsalva sinus with (case I) and without (case 2) a supracristal ventricular septal defect were studied before and after surgery by standard echocardiography, M-mode scan and twodimensional echocardiography. Discontinuity was observed in the echo from the aneurysm wall of the Valsalva sinus in case I with ruptured aneury...

BACKGROUND AND AIM OF THE STUDY Rupture of the sinus of Valsalva is rare, and there is a higher incidence of such rupture in Oriental countries than elsewhere. The objective of this study is to present the pathologic features and the clinical outcome after surgery in such patients. METHODS Between 1980 and 2001, a total of 17 patients (15 males and 2 females) with ruptured aneurysm of sinus o...
متن کاملRight Valsalva Sinus Aneurysm Protruding Into the Right Ventricle: A Case Report
A separation between the aortic media and annulus fibrosus causes a rare cardiac abnormality called sinus of Valsalva aneurysm (SVA) that may be congenital or acquired. It is more prevalent in the right coronary sinus (65%-85%) but it has been seen rarely in non-coronary (10%-30%) or Left coronary sinus (<5%). The most common complication is rupture of the Aneurysm. We present an 80-year-old ma...
